Students shone when they took London College of Music singing exams.
Three Year 8 students Macy, Emily and Tia all passed their Grade One singing exam at the Blackburn School of Music while Year 9 student George passed his Grade Three.
The girls also sing in a band along with fellow Year 8s Sana, drums, Akleema, guitar and Raeesah on piano.
Emily said: “We all sang Stand By Me and Our Song, but we had to sing it on our own in front of the examiner.”
They also had to show their skills at singing scales and rhythm and arpeggio, where they had to sing different notes in a random order.
Both Macy and Tia have chosen music as a GCSE but the trio will stay together as a band. They rehearse at lunchtimes and will all be playing in a celebration of school bands in Blackburn.
